Animals in the Taiga
The Brown Bear is an beautiful animal, and one of the only places you can find them is the Taiga. You can even find the Bald Eagle! The lynx, a type of wild cat, lives in these regions. European and American Otters both live there. They swim in the freshwater located in the Taiga. The Taiga also has the platypus, which is one of the most wondrous creatures on Earth. They are the only mammals that lay eggs!
Adaptions
All of these animals have adapted to the Taiga in different ways. They either grow fur, feathers, or create a lot of body heat. If you want to catch a sight of any of these special animals or more just come down to the Taiga! For example, the Siberian Tiger has very long legs so it can walk in the deep snow during the winter. It also has large paws that give the tiger traction and are like snowshoes. The Siberian Tiger has a thick coat, keeping it warm during the coldest months of the year.
